Message from your Chamber

Greetings from your Chamber! We hope you all enjoyed the Songkran festivities in our adopted home country and are back to business in May!

In this edition of e-Advance our Industry Focus is on “Human Resources Development”, as we highlight our members' views on talent attraction and retention in an employees’ market.

For both Chamber and Embassy news, we reflect on another ANZAC Day with services held at Kanchanaburi, as well as Phuket, Chiang Mai and Bangkok. AustCham was proud to organise the ANZAC tour and the visit to Ban Pu Toei school, where we ran activities and donated necessary equipment to the local school. As a community event, we look forward to bringing together our friends from other groups in the Australian-Thai and New Zealand-Thai communities to commemorate our ANZACs.

Our ASEAN and Australia Members’ business briefing was held prior to Sundowners in April and attracted an audience of 100+ people who were eager to learn about ASEAN-Australia business opportunities. With a renewed focus from the Australian government on developing the ASEAN relationship, AustCham is in a prime position to assist our members taking advantage of these opportunities.

Finally, we welcome 12 new members, and will hold a New Members Orientation on Wednesday 2 May prior to Sundowners. We encourage all new members who have joined us this year (and current who would like to update) to come along and discover how to make the most out of Chamber opportunities.

Wishing you a successful May ahead!"
