Message from your Chamber

Greetings from your Chamber! As we move into March, we turn our attention to AustCham’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and I’m pleased to announce that we have nine nominations for the available six positions at this election. The willingness of members to become more involved with the Chamber is very encouraging and we wish all candidates the best of luck on Wednesday 7th March.

In this edition of e-Advance our Industry Focus is on two sectors – Marine and Manufacturing – as we highlight our members around various parts of Thailand. We encourage you to take a moment to update on what is happening in these areas and feel free to contact the writers if you would like to know more about their companies and industries.

In Chamber news, we had members from Minor International and Grant Thornton attend a meeting with the Revenue Department to discuss updates on policy development for OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project and Inclusive Framework. A worthy read, if these policies are going to impact your business.

We also welcome eight new members, and highlight the Member Benefit sections. If you haven’t already, please have a look at our Promotional Offers, Members Calendar, and Members News; if you would like to contribute to these sections and promote your business, please feel free to contact the AustCham office.

Finally, we held our first Sundowners and Member Briefing, inaugural Alumni Career Expo, and a multi-chamber lunch with BOI Secretary General, Khun Duangjai Asawachintachit; you can find all the photos and an exclusive interview with Khun Duangjai in this edition of e-Advance.

Wishing you a successful March ahead!

Brendan Cunningham
