Message from your Chamber

Greetings and welcome to the July issue of AustCham's Advance magazine. A special issue dedicated to the ‘Alumni’.

The AustCham Alumni has been active for over 7 years with the merging of the then TAA (Thai-Australian Alumni Association established in the 50's) and has now been re-launched under the AAA (Australian Alumni Association). The AustCham Alumni serves as a focal point for Australian graduates to exchange and share their business networks through a common bond in having an Australian education, between both recent graduates and senior alumni.

Our members have increased through the years and some have become young members of AustCham. This has been achieved by organising various events in conjunction with the Australian Embassy Bangkok and the AAA.

We recently held the AustCham Australian Alumni Awards, which is an annual celebration to recognize the outstanding achievements of Australian graduates in various fields from science, economics, business, CSR and creative arts; more details on the winners and finalists can be seen in this edition of Advance.

The Alumni is our future and by joining with AustCham, there are great opportunities for business connectivity, and to meet and built new connections with like-minded groups of friends. Also note that young Alumni members enjoy special rates when joining AustCham: https://www.austchamthailand.com/page-1860559

I personally feel very passionate, as I have been involved as an Austcham Director since 2010, and believe that we can build connections and friendships through the commonality of being educated in Australia, and this will help to foster and enhance relationships between Australia and Thailand.

For more information on the Alumni, please contact the AustCham office.

Wishing you all great success in the coming month ahead"
