Event overview

Tourism is at the very heart of Thailand’s economy contributing with the entire service sector (financial, education , hotel and restaurant sectors) 24.9% of the country’s GDP. Over the years Thailand has been hit with a number of issues which have seriously affected Tourism revenue but with the stability of the current government all sectors of the Tourism industry are now showing very positive growth with the International MICE market also showing signs of an upturn. HE Khun Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul will share with us what her views are on how the Tourism market for Thailand will further develop in 2016 highlighting the new initiatives the government are looking at rolling out this year in order to stimulate further growth in not only numbers but in particular in the high yield sectors of MICE and luxury Travel.
