Dear Members,...From Brendan Cunningham, Executive Director of AustCham Thailand

It is officially announced that Thailand's late King Bhumibol Adulyadej's cremation is set to be held in October. Therefore, to commemorate this ceremony, AustCham Thailand will hold only two events during this month.

>> A special issue on AustCham ASEAN Business Survey Launch and updated news from the Australian Embassy
>> AustCham's events in Phuket
>> Current issue concerning the implication of visa changes on the food industry and October’s digital media regulations in Thailand
>> A very interesting article written by David Norcross on Fusion Marketing

Check out the episode of “The Royal Imprint on International Relations”, that documents the visit to Australia in 1962 by King Rama 9 and Queen Sirikit and in celebration of  Australia – Thailand 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Also, a video from our AFL Grand Final sponsor, Virgin Active, and an interview video from our corporate sponsor at the September Sundowners; Servcorp plus many more.

Industry Focus for September is Hospitality and Tourism. Check out interesting articles written by our members who work in this area and visit our members' profiles.

>> Promotional offers for AustCham's members
>> News from our members
>> Warm welcome and introduction to our 8 new members!

Here are beautiful snapshots at AustCham's organized events in September!

Message from your Chamber

“Greetings from your Chamber! As we bring Q3 to an end, AustCham Thailand would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Members who have made 2017 a great year so far. In particular, for the month of September, we acknowledge our Phuket Members, for organizing both an informative and enjoyable Panel Discussion and Sundowners. September also saw the launch of our AustCham ASEAN Business Survey with a presentation and panel discussion held at the new Australian Embassy. Stories on both events can be found in this edition of Advance.

Moving forward, we approach October with sadness, as Thailand prepares for the grand cremation ceremony for HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej, to be held 25th to 29th October. AustCham Thailand expresses our deepest condolences to the people of the Kingdom of Thailand for the loss of their great King.

During October, AustCham Thailand has planned our regular Sundowners for the first Wednesday (4th October), with a New Members Orientation to be held beforehand at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit. Following that, AustCham will not organize any events between the period of 13th and 29th October.

Wishing you a successful month ahead”
